Trail Cleanup/Beautification Projects

A few times a year, FHTA sponsors a trail cleanup day.  We've done that as a group, with other organizations, and as a part of the United Way's Community Care Day.

We've worked with church groups, service organizations, Parks and Rec personnel, and by ourselves.

Trail cleanups can be messy work, but they're always lots of fun.  We've done everything from cleaning up a creek bed, to painting over graffiti, to planting flowers and promoting the growth of native plants along the trail.

If you'd like to help with a cleanup, come to one of our meetings, keep an eye on the Calendar of Events, or like us on Facebook to be notified of the next cleanup.

If you notice something that needs attention on the trail, use the form at the Report a Trail Issue page to let us and the agency that maintains the trail know about it.

If your or your organization has an idea for a cleanup or beautification project, contact or email us to let us know about it.
